How to Invite Someone to Twitter by Email! The Easy Way...

Like most social networks twitter makes it easy to invite someone (or more than one persons at a time) by email to follow yo.

First log into you twitter account
From the menu located in the upper right corner of the page select "find people".
Choose "invite by email" if you want to invite someone from twitter that is listed in your contact email list.
Enter the recipient's email address in the "Email Address" box. You can enter multiple addresses in this box, simply separate them with a comma.
See the Preview invitation before sending by clicking on "see what you will send them" Once you are done viewing click the "invite" button.

Don't know about you but this service TWITFS is one of the best applciations for sharing files like videos, audios, pictures, documents like pdf or Microsoft. Start by selecting a file from your computer, upload it and then share the links on twitter! No need to register. One problem: If the uploaded file has no activity for more than 30 days, the file is deleted. Careful: Uploading files that are against TwitFS TOS (Terms of Service) will be automatically deleted and blocked from being uploaded again. Max file size allowed is 100MB.

Interested In Seeing Photos Others Are Sharing On Twitter?

There are two ways to do this. You can perform a link only search on twitter that brings up photo links that lead to each individual photo. The problem with this way is that it can take a lot of time having to click on each link to view a pic. (I will discuss how to do this manual option in the near future). The other option you can choose is this site Twicsy to see actual images in thumbnail view of recently shared pics on twitter. Clicking on the thumbnail will bring up a larger image of the photo. The site also allows you to view images by the dozens at a time on one page and you can send out a prewritten tweet with the link added or re-edit the tweet of the photo you would like to send. I think it is cool. One downfall--or maybe not-- is that it has porn included. Innocent eyes are not protected!

Sometimes I find there are times when what I have to say just cannot fit into twitter's 140 character tweet limit. This is when this free and sponsored service EZtweets comes in handy for me. This site Tweet U Later allows you to schedule your tweets in advance, after which, they will then automatically post your tweet at the specified date you request. This way you can update your twitter status in advance. Imagine scheduling a tweet to be posted five minutes, five months or five years from now. Cool isn't it? I find this to be a really useful twitter tool.
Perfect for when I am going on vacation or for those who own businesses and would still like their account to be active during the holidays or some other reason like say if you have a terminal illness but would still like to tweet from your grave..errr.. Try Something Different! Tweet An Upside Down Sentence

This site is not one of my favorites but for those of you looking to do something different with your tweets or in hope of standing out from the rest of tweeters in the twitterverse you might want to try this website Flip MY Tweet. Just as the name implies, flip my tweet will flip your tweet upside down. Personally I find at a glance of my tweet in the twitter stream, my upside down tweet looks like gibberish or some sentence written in a foreign language which is not very appealing to me. Maybe it depends on what you tweet about. You can experiment with this service and see if it works for you. Maybe try including only flipped words in between the sentence of your 140 characters limitation.

If there are any of your tweets that has been starred or favorite, the site will bring up a page with listings of your tweets and the amount of tweeple that has favorite it by a show of their avatars under the tweet. How To Embed A Single Tweet In Your Blog, Site etc

There are several services out there that allows you to embed a tweet into your blog or website. I don't know all of them. Some allows you to embed a single tweet at a time and others allow you to embed rows of tweets. This service Tweetpaste allows you to embed a single tweet into your blog or website. How to do it? Simply find and copy the tweet url: status link (see here if you don't know how to find the status link of a tweet). Visit the tweet paste website and insert the link. Instructions should be available over at the site. You will be given a preview of how the tweet looks. When you have copied the html and pasted it into your blog etc, tweetpaste will then notify the tweet owner on twitter by sending them a tweet and the url of the blog or site where the tweet was embedded. The only thing with this service is that it does not allow you to re-size the frame used to showcase the tweet even though they say it is re-sizable. One of the reasons for this is because it uses an iframe. iframes are not re-sizable.

There is a really cool service out there that allows you to send someone your email address on twitter or share your email address to just about any where-forums,classifieds ads etc and safely too. Scr.im turns your email address into a safe, shortened url by allowing you to choose a short name that is added to the end of their url. This url is protected in that it does not allow bots to easily access or read it. If anyone happens to click on the shortened, spam protected (email) url they would have to enter a security code which only after they have entered the code your email address will be shown. You do not need to join Scr.im to use its free service. So please I encourage you to take advantage of it.

How To Easily Tell If Someone Is Following You.

Twitter can take a little time getting used to for newbies and even for pros who tend to forget after taking a little break from twitter. Sometimes you may receive a tweet from someone whom you have no memory of tweeting with and that is fine. But what if you need to find out if this person is a follower of yours? there are more than one ways to tell. You can either go through your followers list which can be a tiresome task if you've got hundreds of followers or you can visit the persons profile profile twitter profile page by clicking on their photo and clicking the icon shown below with the drop down box. Clicking on the icon will reveal a drop down box as shown. If this person is following you, you will be able to send them a direct message. Once you are seeing an option for sending direct a direct message (the little envelope icon that says send direct message next to it) then this person is following you. Direct messages are can only be sent to people who are following you whether you follow them back or not.

Want to Tweet About Someone's Twitter Username Without Them Knowing?

If you would like to quietly buzz about someone without them knowing you can either block them for no reason which I must say is totally outrageous! At least your tweet won't show up in their time line but neither will their tweets show up in your time line. And what if you decide to unblock them? Then they'll see your tweets so that is too far fetched an idea. There has to be a better way right? Well there is! You can use this example @/spunkyduckling where you put a slash or line between the at and their user name. Your tweet will not show up in their @replies. The only way for them to find out if you have tweeted about them would be if they do a search on their name using twitter search box.

How To Block Retweets When Using Twitter Search Box

If you're like me and utilize twitter's search box a lot you've probably realized by now that it can get really annoying seeing so many re-tweeted tweets in your search. But there is an easy way around this. You can block those re-tweets or eliminate them from your search simply by using a hyphen or dash in front of the letter RT followed with a colon, your search key words and no spaces between as shown in the brackets. ( -RT:follow my blog ). Twitter supports the common hyphen (-) operator which represents NOT for when doing a search on twitter. Eliminating or blocking re-tweets in your search will save you time and energy and help you get more focused results in your search.

How To View Conversations Between Two Persons On Twitter Using Twitter's Search Box

There are at least more than one way to view conversations on twitter but I am going to share with you how I spy on my fellow tweeple or peeps as you would call them. When I want to see who my twitter friend has been conversing with lately I enter this into twitter's little search box (their username and the word to before it) like in this example --> To:spunkyduckling
Just keep all the words close with no spaces in between. What should come up is a series of @replies sent to the username. Go ahead and try it. Make sure the person you are sending your direct messages to read their direct messages and that they know you are sending them your email. How To See More of Someone's Background Without Plug Ins

This is no big secret but there is a way to see someone's twitter background without the use of plugins. We are not focusing on the twitter backgrounds that tweeps have uploaded that repeats itself three or four times on the page. These you can easily detect by viewing and comparing the image on the left and right of their twitter profile. Nothing interesting there. The ones you want to have a peek at are the ones that have an entire background design and is not repeated! There are two ways to do this without plugins. Look for the shortest tweet on the person's page and click on the date of the tweet. This way you get to see more of someone's twitter background without any plugins. Another way is to click the person's profile photo on their profile page. The only problems is sometimes the photo is too large so you actually see less. Who knows you might be lucky to see someone's background with a small uploaded profile photo.

They use an ouath system where they require your password and username on twitter. After viewing your blocked peeps, simply logout to keep your password protected.

What type of social twitterer are you? A name dropper? A crowd pleaser? A lone wolf? It all depends on whether you use alot of hashtags, or uses the names of friends a lot, or prefer to keep more on the downlow and a several other things. There is a fun site by yahoo that analyzes your tweets and tells you of your social twitter personality. Today at the time of writing this post my mojo is a name bearer. It means that I tweet like a champ and keep the conversation rolling by calling out my fellow twitter friends by name. I used a lot of @replies which makes me a pro at getting the @mojo down to a science. Of course my mojo changes from time to time and so will yours. After you have finished Getting your mojo you can tweet it. There is a button that is provided on the site that allows you to tweet your mojo status..The site may not be as accurate but it does provide entertainment value.

Need A Job? Or An Employee?

This useful site Twithire allows you to select or post jobs. As far as I know they don't charge for employers to list their job post on the site and you don't have to join to view the job positions available. Let's hope they don't change in the future! There is one downside with this..they do not have a search box. Hopefully they will implement one in the future? For now they have their listings by most recent first and under a few categories so good luck in sifting through all the posts.

This site Tweeter Tags allows you to find people simply by clicking on the tags of interest to you and viewing dozens of users whose twitter profiles carry the same tag. Clicking one of the names will take you to a page where you can learn more about the user. You will be able to see more tags the users has on their profile, persons who they have made friends with on the tweeter tags site and followers. A link is available to follow the user on Twitter. Set up a " Tweet This" link on your blogs without using any software or plugins. If you are familiar with basic HTML, you can cut and paste the HTML below and customize as necessary to suit your site. Now here's the trick. When someone clicks on your tweet this link, they will be taken to twitter where the tweet text is already filled in for them and all they have to do is simply hit the update button. Of course they can edit the text before clicking the twitter update button. Just change the part of the text that is in bold to your own domain name of your website or the particular page or blog post is better and your twitter name. As for personalizing your own text the words between the two bold sentence gap, just follow the pattern of separating each word with a comma. Tip: test your link before to make sure the tweet is 140 or less characters.

Tweepsearch allows you to search someone's bio two ways. If you know the user name of someone (which I don't see much point when you can just type up the URL for their twitter address). The other option is more lucrative. Search for common interests of another by using specific keywords example: crafts, cooking, etc..
