How To Shorten Long Urls and Domain Names

There are dozens of services out there on the web that allows you to shorten your domain name or the url's of others. Why do this? The benefit from doing this is to allow you more characters in your tweet which as we know is limited to 140 characters and no more. One of the services I use for shortening urls and domain names is Tinyurl but there are even shorter domain shorteners that you can use.
