How To Annoy Your Followers With Your Tweets!

I think one of the quickest way to annoy your followers is by tweeting about controversal topics like politics and religion. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having an opinion but trying to force that opinion on someone or be so blatant about it is sure going to make you lose followers. The only ones who are probably going to stay are the ones who don't pay attention to your tweets anyway.

Five Valentine Day Gift Tweeting Strategies For Marketers

1. Make the most of hash tags and the word free. An example: FREE #Chocolates, FREE #ValentineCards

2. Don't be boring and cold e.g. Don't know what to get him for Valentine? Try these PS 2 Games. Every man want one. Yes men love PS 2 games but for Valentine? Not really. People need to know how this is going to benefit their relationship or add to the exisiting romance in it.

3. Whilst it is a good strategy to offer as many freebies as possible and discounts a tweet like this will do nothing to excite someone to buy so steer clear of tweeting something like this: V Day Sale on Teddies. Free Shipping. Oh please! I love teddies but I would not even bat an eye twice at this tweet. Too little information is one thing! And I'm immune to this kind of cold selling - sure you are too.

4. Fulfil a need by providing something valuable to someone. They'll remember you and more than likely buy from you. In other words focus less on selling and more on making your customers and tweeple friends feel love. If people get the feeling that you genuinely care and understand them they will support you.

5. Lastly make sure you have a great landing page that focuses only on your specific product and make sure its appealing too, as you probably know by now, you've got only a few seconds to grab your buyers interest before they're off to another site.

Post Longer Tweets When 140 Characters Isn't Enough.

Sometimes I find there are times when what I have to say just cannot fit into twitter's 140 character tweet limit. This is when this free and sponsored service EZtweets comes in handy for me. What eztweets does is take your long sentences and divide them up and post them to twitter for you all at the same time.
The cool thing is they allow you to post your tweet in the sequence you nominated and they label each tweet making it easy for readers to identify and connect each continuation tweet. So if you are someone who is tired of using too many short hands, can hardly ever find yourself posting a short tweet, and dozens of other reasons then this is a service you don't want to miss out on. And they allow as many tweets as twitter updates will allow, which is currently 1000. To see an example of what the tweet will look like click here.

Cannot tweet right now? Shedule Your Tweets! And keep your followers too!

This site Tweet U Later allows you to schedule your tweets in advance, after which, they will then automatically post your tweet at the specified date you request. This way you can update your twitter status in advance. Imagine scheduling a tweet to be posted five minutes, five months or five years from now. Cool isn't it? I find this to be a really useful twitter tool.
Perfect for when I am going on vacation or for those who own businesses and would still like their account to be active during the holidays or some other reason like say if you have a terminal illness but would still like to tweet from your grave..errr.. I think I will stop there. There are dozens of other reasons I can think of scheduling tweets in advance and I'm sure you can too. Hope you find them handy.
One more important reason - You won't lose followers with tweet u later! As you already know or perhaps not, some followers account are set to automatically unfollow persons when their account is inactive after a certain period of time.
You are still here? Go on over there now and explore the site. Get a feel for what it's like to schedule your tweet so when you really need too, you will already have the know how. Currently there is no limit on the amount of tweets you can schedule.

Try Something Different! Tweet An Upside Down Sentence

This site is not one of my favorites but for those of you looking to do something different with your tweets or in hope of standing out from the rest of tweeters in the twitterverse you might want to try this website Flip MY Tweet. Just as the name implies, flip my tweet will flip your tweet upside down. Personally I find at a glance of my tweet in the twitter stream, my upside down tweet looks like gibberish or some sentence written in a foreign language which is not very appealing to me. Maybe it depends on what you tweet about. You can experiment with this service and see if it works for you. Maybe try including only flipped words in between the sentence of your 140 characters limitation.

Send Someone Your Email Safely On Twitter Using Scr.im Service.

There is a really cool service out there that allows you to send someone your email address on twitter or share your email address to just about any where-forums,classifieds ads etc and safely too. Scr.im turns your email address into a safe, shortened url by allowing you to choose a short name that is added to the end of their url. This url is protected in that it does not allow bots to easily access or read it. If anyone happens to click on the shortened, spam protected (email) url they would have to enter a security code which only after they have entered the code your email address will be shown. You do not need to join Scr.im to use its free service. So please I encourage you to take advantage of it.

How To Lose Followers By Tweeting Too Frequently

If you tweet every 10 seconds be prepared to lose followers. People will un-follow you even quicker if you not only tweet often but tweet useless tweets with it. People who tweet quite frequently can quickly bore someone out and even faster with useless tweets. I know I am one who would un-follow after much hesitation if I keep seeing your avatar and tweets too often in my twitter time line.

Want to Tweet About Someone's Twitter Username Without Them Knowing?

If you would like to quietly buzz about someone without them knowing you can either block them for no reason which I must say is totally outrageous! At least your tweet won't show up in their time line but neither will their tweets show up in your time line. And what if you decide to unblock them? Then they'll see your tweets so that is too far fetched an idea. There has to be a better way right? Well there is! You can use this example @/spunkyduckling where you put a slash or line between the at and their user name. Your tweet will not show up in their @replies. The only way for them to find out if you have tweeted about them would be if they do a search on their name using twitter search box.
